Multi-currency Feature on Debit Card

„When I pay abroad the exchange rate doesn’t really interest me.“

One card for several accounts

You can enjoy the convenience of one card for payments in all the currencies you have accounts set up for.

No exchange rate conversion

You can avoid exchange rate conversion abroad by paying directly from your foreign currency account.

Joint balance

The balance for card transactions is “increased” by the balance on all your foreign currency accounts, thereby creating an addition financial reserve. You will see the balance in CZK on the ATM.

How does a card with the multi-currency function work?

Withdrawal and payment in CZK

When making a withdrawal or payment in the Czech Republic we will deduct the required amount from the account in CZK.

Withdrawal and payment in a foreign currency

When making a withdrawal or payment in a country where payment is made in a currency that you have a foreign currency account set up for, we will deduct the required amount from such account. In other cases, we will deduct the required amount from the CZK account.

Combine withdrawal or payment in a foreign currency

If you find that you don’t have sufficient funds in your account in the currency used in the country you are in when making a withdrawal or payment, we will deduct the corresponding amount from another designated account containing sufficient funds.

If the combined balance on all the accounts is insufficient, we will not approve the transaction with the card.

How much will the multi-currency feature cost you?

You can connect accounts in the following currencies to your Czech crown account

  • Euro (EUR)
  • US dollar (USD)
  • Swiss franc (CHF)
  • British pound (GBP)
  • Japanese yen (JPY)
  • Canadian dollar (CAD)
