We've adapted our George to be more playful and simplified for kids. It will be their helpful companion until they turn 15. They'll find their current account, card, and possibly a savings account. They won’t be able to set up the products themselves.

You can open an account for your kid at a branch if you're their legal guardian.
If your kid is under 15, all you need to bring is your valid ID and a document proving you're their legal guardian, such as their birth certificate. For kids over 15, you'll also need their ID card.
Would you like your kid under 15 to be able to make payments with a card and send money from the account? Then, visit a branch with your kid and their ID. Kids can have their own debit card starting at age 8.
To use the George for kids app, your kid needs login details for George, a unique phone number, and must be under 15 years old.
Don’t have login details for the app? You can get them at a branch by bringing your ID and your kid's birth certificate.
Once you have the login details, simply download the George mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and install it on your kid's phone.
Does your kid have a Huawei phone? Huawei allows downloading the George app from the App Gallery for users 16 and older. Your kid can use the alternative, George on the computer, where they can log in with their credentials and password+SMS verification. However, George on the computer isn't tailored for kids.
To activate George for kids, you’ll need an activation code. You can get it from the banker when setting up the mobile app at the branch, and you can quickly activate George with their help.
If you don’t activate it right at the branch, you can use the activation code from the banker to activate it later, at your convenience, from home. You can also get the activation code at an ATM using your kid’s physical debit card.
Before activating, download the George app from Google Play or the App Store and select "Log into George." We’ll guide you step by step through the activation process – it’s easy!
For kids under 15, we automatically hide the passbook, building savings, and pension savings. It’s up to you to decide when the right time is to make these products visible to your kid. You can click the "Show" button on the product card in the parental controls section to do so.
Both you and your kid can set up notifications for account activity directly on the phone. Simply go to the Profile section and select "Notifications" to manage these alerts.
You can set limits directly in your George app on your kid's payment card by clicking the "Change limit" button. Your kid cannot set the limits themselves.
George for kids, with its new Junior interface, automatically hides the following products from kids: passbook, pension savings, and building savings. However, you can choose to reveal these products to your kid whenever you think it's the right time.
For you, your George app offers all the essential functionalities, such as setting card payment limits or quickly blocking your kid’s card. You can also set up account activity alerts to keep track of what and where your kid is spending. Additionally, you can send payments from your kid’s account, including using QR codes.
For kids, George offers a playful design along with financial tips and educational content. Kids can easily view transaction history for both their checking and savings accounts and make recurring or one-time payments, including via QR codes. They can also quickly access their PIN, see card payment limits, and temporarily block their card if they think they’ve lost it.
Once your kid turns 15, the kid-friendly version of George will no longer be available. Instead, they will automatically switch to the version of George that you use on your mobile. With this transition, any previously hidden products, such as building savings or passbooks, will be revealed to them.
