In 2022, Česká spořitelna confirmed its resilience, stable position and reported growth in main product categories
As of 31st December 2022, Česká spořitelna reported an unaudited consolidated net profit of CZK 20.2 bn, according to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), attributed to considerably higher operating result reflecting business growth and overall post-COVID development. Operating result reached CZK 28.5 bn, compared to FY 2021 it went up by 30.0%.
“Despite all the challenges that 2022 brought, Česká spořitelna confirmed its resilience and stability and managed to provide strong support to households, companies and the public sector. For example, we have extended the Moneyback discount programme, joined the Merciful Summer campaign and last, but not least, provided direct support to Ukrainian refugees. We also managed to expand our offer of digital solutions and other innovations, which has been appreciated by an increasing number of our clients. Thanks to our proactive approach and emphasis on strengthening clients' financial health, we saw solid growth across our main product categories, which was reflected in Česká spořitelna's profitability. Moreover, we improved our capital position by successful bond issuances and thus we are ready to further contribute to stronger and sustainable society,“ said Ivan Vondra, Česká spořitelna’s CFO in his reaction to the Bank's FY 2022 financial results.
