As at 30th September 2020, Česká spořitelna reported an unaudited consolidated net profit of CZK 7.9 bn, according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Net profit for the same period of 2019 amounted to CZK 13.0 bn, it thus decreased by 38.9% in a year-on-year comparison. Operating result reached CZK 15.6 bn, compared to Q1-3 2019 it went down by 7.3%.
“The course of the year so far and the economic results have been affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The Q3 results indicate that both households and companies have begun to recover from the first shock caused by the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. At the end of September, the total volume of client loans was 5.4% higher than in the same period last year. We increased housing loans in the form of mortgages by CZK 25.8 billion. Česká spořitelna is well prepared to continue to help its clients and, if necessary, to individually solve their problems resulting from the current crisis,” Tomáš Salomon, CEO of Česká spořitelna, pointed out.
