What’s Voice Verification and how does it work?
Voice verification is built on voice biometric technology and is a security method used to clearly identify a calling client.
The technology scans the caller’s voice, compares it to the voice sample collected earlier, and then determines whether both voices are the same. The voice sample contains more than 100 unique physical and behavioural characteristics, such as the length of the glottis and nasal passage, pitch, tempo, accent, etc. Independent research has shown that a voice is just as unique as a fingerprint.
