What is an activation code?

An activation code is a one-time six-digit security code valid for 14 days after it’s generated. It’s intended for your personal use only.

Important

 If you share your activation code with someone else, you’re giving them full access to your George account – and to your money. Be careful. Always check who you’re talking to, and make sure you’re entering the code only on the official George website or app.

How to get an activation code

At a branch – Our bankers will be happy to help you.

At any of our ATMs – You can get the code using a Česká spořitelna plastic card. Just insert the card or tap it on the contactless reader and follow the instructions. You can read more about the process here.

Tip

You can’t use the code to deactivate your account. You don’t need it to receive a payment. These are common reasons fraudsters give when trying to trick you into sharing your activation code.

You’ll need the activation code for:

• Activating George or George Business
• Unblocking George or George Business
• Resetting your George password
• Increasing your daily limit in George or George Business 
  

Instructions

Enter your PIN as if you were withdrawing cash and select Other Services from the menu.

Then press the Activation code print button.

After pressing I understand, a receipt with your activation code will be printed. A new activation code automatically invalidates the previous one – you can only have one valid activation code at a time. Once you use the activation code, we’ll send a verification code to your phone via SMS.
