What to do at marriage/divorce?

1. Change of name and permanent residence

  • Visit any Česká spořitelna branch. Changes to personal information are best made at the Česká spořitelna branch where you have your account. Your personal identity card will likely need to be replaced as well, so you will also need to report this change.
  • You can execute the changes yourself via Internet banking. All you need to do is scan a copy of your new personal identity card.
  • Make sure changes are made for all products. If you use several services provided by Česká spořitelna, you’ll need to report changes to your name or permanent address for all of them. Changes needs to be made in person: notification by email is insufficient.

2. Change of mailing address

Choose the method of changing your address. The change can be made simply, without the need to visit a Česká spořitelna branch, although visiting a branch is also possible. You have several methods available to you:

  • Visit a branch. You can visit any branch to change your correspondence address (e.g., for your card, building savings scheme, insurance, bank statements etc.).
  • Via George. If you use Internet banking services, you can change your address by yourself.
  • In writing. You can change your mailing address by sending a letter to the address of the branch where you set up your account. The request must contain specific information and you need to provide identification. Your signature must also be notarised.

Report the change of correspondence address. All correspondence will be sent to your new mailing address as soon as the change is reported.

3. Change of address for delivery of payment cards and PIN

Choose the method you wish to use to change your address. You can execute the change in the ways described above in point 2 (Change of mailing address).

  • Report the change of address for delivery. The card for the next period (if its replacement is automatic) will be sent to the new address. The change, however, must be made at least two months prior to the card expiration date, i.e., when the new card has not yet been made.

A change of address for sending a new PIN and the change in the method of sending Kredit+ credit cards may only be reported at a Česká spořitelna branch. If you own a Česká spořitelna Smart Card, you can change your address at a branch or via phone.

4. Change of name and permanent address with respect to building savings

If you are unable to visit a Česká spořitelna branch, you can make the change to the Building Savings Agreement in two ways:

  • Via George.
  • In writing. Send your letter to the following address: Stavební spořitelna, České spořitelny, a.s., Vinohradská 180/1632, 130 00, Prague 3. In your request, indicate the information you wish to change, and enclose a copy of both sides of your personal identity card. The signature does not have to be notarised, your standard signature is sufficient.
