Skimming

Protect your funds against scams on the street

What is skimming?

Skimming is the copying of data from the magnetic strip on payment cards at an ATM.

How to protect yourself?

  1.  Whenever you enter your PIN, cover the keypad with your hand.
  2.  Select reasonable limits for cash withdrawals. Our cards have daily limits. Should your card be copied, the perpetrator can misappropriate the entire set daily limit. Setting and changing limits is free through internet banking.
  3. If you suspect anything unusual at an ATM (such as suspicious individuals near the ATM, stickers on the ATM, strange parts on the ATM or the appearance of the ATM itself), do not use the ATM and inform us via our client help line on 800 207 27.
  4. If an ATM allows contactless withdrawals, only use this function, i.e., tapping the card against the symbol.
  5. Review you transactions regularly. Should you discover any discrepancies, contact us.
