Our journey to long-term sustainability has been unfolding for 200 years. From today's perspective, it is almost unbelievable that our mission—to guide individuals, businesses, and communities to prosperity—has been with us since our very foundation. I cannot imagine a more solid basis for all the steps we take on this path.

As the largest and the most traditional bank in the country, we recognize our shared responsibility for the long-term sustainable prosperity of Czech society. We want to accelerate changes that enhance respect for people and the environment. Sustainability is embedded in Česká spořitelna's core strategy so that it gradually permeates everything we do. This effort defines three main areas of impact our work focuses on: #stronger bank, #stronger clients, and #stronger society.
Our Sustainability Goals
2026
By the end of 2026, we aim for 25% of our corporate loans to be dedicated to financing our clients' sustainable investments. We support companies of all sizes in projects focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency in buildings, low-emission technologies, and sustainable transportation.
2027
By the end of 2027, we aim for 15% of our retail mortgages to be dedicated to financing energy-efficient properties. We offer loans for renovations focused on enhancing energy efficiency and provide tools for assessing the impact on energy costs for clients across the Czech Republic.
2028
By the end of 2028, we aim to achieve 33% representation of women in managerial positions. We support gender diversity and create an environment where everyone has equal opportunities for professional growth and fair remuneration.
2030
By the end of 2030, we aim to reduce our operational emissions by 80% compared to the baseline year of 2017. This goal includes implementing measures to increase energy efficiency and transitioning to purchasing energy exclusively from renewable sources.
