Ceska Sporitelna Cool Card Already Has 300,000 Satisfied Cardholders

• 300,000 Ceska Sporitelna Cool Cards have been issued
• 4 million payment transactions with a total volume of 3.5 billion CZK from January to August 2010

After more than two years of the Ceska Sporitelna Cool Card's existence, 300,000 of these credit cards that are intended for purchases have already found their users. In the first eight months this year, holders of these credit cards have made 4 million payment transactions in a total amount of 3.5 billion CZK (not counting ATM withdrawals, the intended use of the card is for purchases, not withdrawals). Compared to the first year of the card's existence, the number of transactions increased by 43% and the amount charged by 40%. Clients from the Ostrava region were most interested in the new credit card and 5,520 cards were issued there. 

Each holder of a Cool Card automatically receives two guarantees - purchases for the lowest price and protection from defective merchandise. If a cardholder makes a purchase with a Cool Card and later sees the same product for a lower price, they will get the difference back. In addition, they can choose any of seven optional benefits per their needs. The set-up of such benefits can be changed at any time. 

"We are happy that the Cool Card has already found so many holders. Our clients appreciate the opportunity to be able to set up products according to their needs and this card provides this opportunity. We would also like to come up with other improvements and bonuses for a broader group of holders of these cards in the future," said Martin Techman, Director of Business Development at Ceska Sporitelna. 

The following services are favorites among CS Cool Card holders: use of the card free of charge (no fee for the card for a defined transaction volume), the Sphere discount program, the advantageous Bonus Program (one point for fifteen CZK compared to standard twenty CZK) and rewards into the Penzijni fond Ceske Sporitelny (for every 1,000 CZK spent in a store, clients receive ten CZK to their pension insurance account with PF CS). A current favorite is also the opportunity to win a Skoda Yeti SUV and a further 3,000 prizes (www.chytrakarta.cz).

The ability to choose the design of the credit card is an often used and favorite upgrade. More than half of CS Cool Card users have chosen a card from the design photogallery, which offers 59 pictures in 10 galleries, or have opted for their own card design. In most cases, they use photos of friends or family, followed by photos with animals and holiday snapshots.
