Warning against a New Version of Fraudulent E-mail
We would like to draw your attention to a new version of fraudulent
e-mail (referred to as “phishing”). Like all previous versions, the new version
of the e-mail is designed to create the impression that it was sent from an
e-mail address of Ceska Sporitelna, this time from the e-mail address
email@example.com. In the body of the message the e-mail contains a link to a
purported Internet banking website of the Bank; recipients of the e-mail are
prompted to register and to enter their personal banking details or the PIN
code to their payment card.
Ceska Sporitelna has never sent out a similar message. We never ask for
our clients' security data via e-mail and do not ask them to enter these
data. Data such as client number and password for the internet banking or
PIN code for the payment card are personal data of each client that should not
be enter or given to the anyone. The fact of asking for such data
clearly refers to the hoax.
We insist that clients do not react to the e-mail and do not enter any of
the required information. Should you have reacted to the e-mail, we recommend
that clients immediately contact the Client Interactive Center at tel.
800 207 207 (00420 582 405 405 from abroad) in order to block
the service and to have new access codes generated.
We also ask those clients who received, or may receive, a fraudulent e-mail
in the future, to send it to the address firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you to help us
protect the internet banking security.
