Tomáš Salomon Heads Ceska Sporitelna’s Retail Banking as of January
As of the New Year, Tomáš Salomon became a new member of the Management
Board and the head of Retail Banking at Ceska sporitelna. He joins Ceska
sporitelna after two years of service on the Management Board of Slovenska
sporitelna, where he was also responsible for retail banking.
“Being a part of Ceska sporitelna is both a joy and a challenge for
me. I am looking forward to cooperating with my colleagues, who are doing
excellent work day in and day out, as well as to the new challenges and hurdles
that are bound to come up soon. I trust that I will contribute new ideas
and projects that will bring the bank yet another step closer to the client,
because that is what retail banking is all about,” said Salomon.
He started his banking career in 1997 at GE Capital Multiservis, where he
was made the Chairman of the Management Board and CEO. In 2000 he led GE
Capital’s Retail Banking as a member of the Board. Between 2004 and 2007,
he was CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Poštová banka in
Slovakia. Between 2008 and 2012, he worked on a private investment
project, initiating a project for the creation of a platform for making mobile
payments in the Czech Republic. He took part in the establishment of
Mopet CZ, a corporation in which he worked as a member of the Management Board
and CEO. In 2013, he left to work in the Slovak Republic, where he was
later appointed to be the Management Board member responsible for retail.
Tomáš Salomon is a graduate of Faculty of Economics of Services and Tourism
of the Slovak University of Economics.
At the same time, changes are also taking place in the management of the
Operations Section, which had been led by Daniela Pešková. She will newly
manage the Distribution Section in Tomáš Salomon’s division. The
